Why so many Friday drops?
Since July 2015 the music industry has aligned on Friday as the global release day. Before that, release days varied by country. Today, the bulk of what you see above shipped at midnight local time on the most recent Friday.
Manually keeping up with all of it is a losing game once you follow more than 30 or 40 artists. That's what Tracknack is for. Every new release from artists and labels you follow lands in a Spotify playlist automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Where does this list come from?
These are the latest releases from artists and labels Tracknack has profile pages for. No editor picks, no sponsored tracks, no algorithmic shuffle. Just what came out, newest first.
How often is this page updated?
The page revalidates roughly every hour, and the underlying release data is refreshed continuously as labels and distributors ship new metadata. If something dropped overnight you'll usually see it by mid-morning.
What counts as 'new' on this page?
The default view covers the past 7 days, sorted by release date. The 'this month' view widens that to 30 days. Both are platform-wide, not personalized.
Why does so much music drop on Fridays?
Since July 2015, most of the music industry has aligned on a single Global Release Day - Friday. Before that, release days varied by country (Tuesday in the US, Monday in the UK, Friday in Germany). The Friday change was driven by piracy and streaming. Full story here.
Can I get these releases as a Spotify playlist?
Yes - that's what Tracknack does. Follow the artists and labels you care about, and the new releases land in a Spotify playlist automatically. The list on this page is the front door; the playlist is the everyday tool.
How is this different from Spotify's New Releases page?
Spotify's New Releases is curated and weighted toward big-label promotion. This page is mechanical - it shows what actually came out, including label-only releases and credited contributors that Spotify's surface doesn't highlight.
Is Tracknack free?
In the free version you can follow up to 30 artists or labels. There's also a 14-day free trial to give you time to try Tracknack's full functionality.
Stop missing releases.
Tracknack digs through album credits — producers, engineers, labels — so you don't have to. One Spotify or Apple Music playlist, always up to date.
