Drumcode

Drumcode Records is a Swedish techno and EDM label managed by DJ and producer Adam Beyer. Founded in 1996, it began with roots in Scandinavia and originally focused on Swedish producers. Over time, Drumcode broadened its scope, shifting from a nationality-based roster to one shaped primarily by stylistic fit.

The label is closely associated with Beyer’s own musical identity and curatorial approach, operating as a platform for contemporary techno that aligns with the Drumcode profile. Its history is described as marked by success in releases and talent scouting, alongside radio efforts and an outward-facing, international orientation that developed from its early Scandinavian base.

Drumcode’s artist roster reflects that evolution from a local foundation to a wider network. Artists such as Bart Skils, Layton Giordani, Mha Iri, Charles D, and Drunken Kong illustrate the label’s reach beyond Sweden, while Beyer remains the central figure in its management and direction.
