Hospital Records

Hospital Records began in 1996 as an outlet for the music of Tony Colman and Chris Goss, then working together as London Elektricity. Founded from their West London studio, the independent label was built around a simple aim: releasing good, optimistic music. It has since become one of the best-known names in UK dance music, with drum and bass at the centre of its catalogue.

Now based in Shoreditch, East London, Hospital has released music across the breadth of drum and bass. Its artist history includes Netsky, Camo & Krooked, Logistics, Nu:Tone, Metrik, High Contrast, S.P.Y, and Fred V & Grafix, alongside later names such as Unglued, SOLAH, Hoax, Flava D, Degs, Whiney and Gabriella Bongo. The roster reflects a label identity that leaves room for vocal-led tracks, dancefloor energy and varied approaches to DnB without losing its upbeat core.

Hospital expanded its activities through several affiliated labels. M*A*S*H began in 2003, followed by Med School Music in 2006, an experimental imprint that operated until the end of 2019. Hospital Classic Symptoms launched in 2008 to revisit back-catalogue material and rarities. Beyond recorded music, Hospital runs the publishing company Songs in the Key of Knife and the worldwide Hospitality events brand.
