Four Tet
Four Tet, the recording name of Kieran Miles David Hebden, emerged from the post-rock band Fridge before building a solo catalogue that spans electronic music, improvisation and club-oriented work. Born in Putney, United Kingdom, in September 1977, Hebden first came to wider notice through Fridge, then established Four Tet as his principal project.
His solo albums include Rounds (2003), Everything Ecstatic (2005) and There Is Love in You (2010), all of which charted and received critical acclaim. Across twelve Four Tet studio albums, Hebden has worked with a broad electronic palette while also taking part in improvisational recordings with jazz drummer Steve Reid. His collaborative work also includes releases with Burial and Thom Yorke.
Hebden's work extends beyond his own records. He arranged Madlib's 2021 album Sound Ancestors and has remixed artists including Aphex Twin, Bloc Party, Super Furry Animals, Radiohead, Ellie Goulding and Madvillain. A number of those remixes were collected on the 2006 compilation Remixes. As a DJ, he has presented mixes and performed sets with Skrillex and Fred Again.
