About Funky House
UK funky tracks suit dance sets, pairing beats, bass loops and synths with African and Latin percussion driven by dembow rhythm. Contemporary R&B-style vocals add a melodic, club-ready edge to the rhythmic focus.
Originating in England, UK funky draws from soca, soulful and tribal house, as well as UK garage, broken beat and grime. Its percussion-led dembow pulse and R&B vocal approach separate it from straighter house and disco house grooves.
