Midnight Riot
Midnight Riot came out of a disco obsession that predated it by decades. Andy Williams, who produced as Yam Who?, had been DJing since 1989 and worked as a promoter and a journalist along the way, editing at Mixmag and writing its monthly disco column from 2016 to 2020. He and Phil Rose started the label in 2012. Williams died in March 2025.
The catalogue is disco and the house that came out of it, with records from Amp Fiddler, Robert Owens, Eli Escobar and Soul Clap. Williams didn't stop at one label either: ISM and Black Riot ran alongside it, and he recorded as Qwestlife.
