Loods
Born and raised in the coastal, industrial town of Newcastle in Australia, often called the Steel City, Loods presents as a modest figure with an exciting, unpolished approach to dance music. Over the past two years, Loods has continued to rise in prominence. His journey in 2018 included moving to London and releasing two highly successful records on his longtime friend Mall Grab's label, Steel City Dance Discs. This was followed by a Boiler Room performance at London's renowned Southbank Centre, and mixes for Rinse FM, NTS, and Triple J, while extensively touring the UK and Europe. In 2019, Loods released another successful EP on Steel City Dance Discs, along with the summer hit 'Walking Away' on Classic Music Company, which was named Annie Mac's 'Hottest Record' and received frequent airplay on BBC Radio 1. Showing no sign of slowing, Loods has a lineup of releases planned for the next 12 months and is definitely an artist to keep an eye on throughout 2020 and beyond.
