salute
Salute first drew attention in the early 2010s with teenage remixes of Aaliyah’s “Rock the Boat” and Sam Smith’s “Money on My Mind.” Born Felix Angyumanu Nyajo, the Austrian DJ and producer began making and releasing those tracks at around 16, setting out a path that would lead from Vienna to a base in England.
Working across UK garage, house, dance-pop and related club styles, Salute has built a catalogue of EPs including Lionheart and Fields in 2013, Gold Rush in 2015, the three-part Condition series between 2018 and 2019, lyali in 2020, Ultra Pool in 2022, and Shield in 2023. Their 2016 mini-album My Heart preceded the full-length debut True Magic, released on July 12, 2024.
True Magic arrived at No. 5 on the UK Dance Albums Chart. Salute is signed to the English independent label Ninja Tune and is based in Manchester.
