XL Recordings
An independent record label, initially a spin-off of City Beat Records (owned by Beggars Banquet Records, now Beggars Group), XL was managed by Tim Palmer and Nick Halkes and launched with Richard Russell in 1989 to focus on rave and dance music. XL replaced City Beat in Beggars Group's portfolio of labels. Richard Russell and his team currently manage XL. XL Recordings' newer partner label is Young Turks.
Former employees include Leah Riches, Matthew Waterhouse, and Nick Worthington (A&R). Current staff includes William Aspden.
