Porter Robinson
Porter Robinson is an American electronic music producer and singer, recognized for introducing the term 'complextro,' a blend of 'complex' and 'electro,' referring to a highly detailed style of house music popularized by his Spitfire EP (2011). He later transitioned to a more melodic EDM sound with his debut album, Worlds, in 2014.
He frequently collaborates with various artists, having worked on remixes for stars like Lady Gaga and Innerpartysystem, and provided backing vocals for Zedd’s 2012 hit "Clarity."
In 2016, he released the single “Shelter” with electronic artist Madeon. Being long-time friends, they embarked on a North American tour, later expanding to Europe, Japan, and Australia, with the final show at Coachella 2017.
In January 2020, Porter Robinson announced Nurture, his second LP, which further evolved his sound into Indie Synthpop, released on April 23, 2021.
On March 1, 2024, Porter Robinson revealed that his album SMILE :D was finished. It was released on July 26, 2024, surprising fans with a stylistic change to indietronica pop.
