Benjamin Saint Fort, professionally known as BNYX (pronounced "Benny X"), is an American record producer and songwriter born on April 23, 1995, in Upper Darby Township, Pennsylvania. He is renowned for his collaborations with artists such as Yeat, Drake, PinkPantheress, Mario, Travis Scott, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert, and Trippie Redd. BNYX is also a member of the Philadelphia-based producer collective Working on Dying.
BNYX was born to Haitian immigrant parents. His stage name combines his nickname, Benny, with the letter X, symbolizing "Extreme," reflecting his aspiration for intensity in his music. His older brother, Felix, encouraged him to pursue music production after hearing his early work. His younger brother, Patrick, known professionally as BeautifulMvn, is also a record producer, and the siblings frequently collaborate. In 2017, financial challenges led BNYX to leave college and work at AT&T. During this period, he noticed Travis Scott's remix of Rae Sremmurd's "Swang" and created his own version, which gained attention after he actively promoted it on Twitter.
BNYX began exploring music at the age of nine, initially as a hobby shared with his father. He enjoyed watching music videos and interviews, developing an interest in the business side of the industry. Over time, he expanded his skills to include both beat-making and songwriting. In 2021, he became a member of the producer collective Working on Dying. That same year, he started collaborating with Yeat, contributing to projects like the mixtape 4L, the EP Trendi, and the album Up 2 Me.
In 2022, BNYX produced several tracks on Yeat's EP Lyfe, including the song "Flawlëss" featuring Lil Uzi Vert. By February 2023, he had co-produced eight tracks on Yeat's third album, AfterLyfe. On August 10, 2023, he co-produced Yeat's single "Bigger Then Everything." He also co-produced Lil Tecca's "HVN on Earth" featuring Kodak Black, released on September 15, 2023. The same day, he co-produced Drake's "Slime You Out" featuring SZA, which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, marking BNYX's first chart-topping production. He continued his collaboration with Lil Tecca, producing tracks like "Yves" and "HVN on Earth" on the album Tec, released on September 22, 2023. On October 6, 2023, Drake released his album For All the Dogs, featuring eight tracks co-produced by BNYX, including "Fear of Heights," "IDGAF" (featuring Yeat), "7969 Santa," "Slime You Out" (with SZA), "What Would Pluto Do," "All the Parties" (featuring Chief Keef), "Rich Baby Daddy" (featuring SZA and Sexyy Red), and "Away From Home." On November 10, 2023, The Kid Laroi released his debut album, The First Time, with BNYX producing "I Thought That I Needed You" and "What Went Wrong???". He also co-produced "Blessings" featuring Tasha Cobbs Leonard on Nicki Minaj's album Pink Friday 2, released on December 8, 2023.
