IDLES

Idles is a post-hardcore/post-punk band hailing from Bristol, England.

Formed in 2012, the band includes singer Joe Talbot, bassist Adam Devonshire, guitarists Mark Bowen and Lee Kiernan, and drummer Jon Beavis.

IDLES came together as a quintet during the decline of the indie scene in Bristol and started producing visceral and at times difficult-to-listen-to post-punk for an expanding audience. They initiated their club night Batcave and practiced consistently until they found their distinctive sound and live performance; with these elements in place, they have completed their first album and are fervently eager to share their music. They aim to deliver themselves and their art to the audience in a precise and aggressive manner unmatched by their contemporaries. They mix terror and entertainment seamlessly. Their music pays homage to their influences with a harsh and combative sound that feels both recognizable and fresh. They are an assault on the ears, showing you they truly care.
