IDLES
IDLES spent eight years honing their live performances before releasing their debut album, Brutalism, in 2017. Formed in Bristol in 2009, the British post-punk band built its early reputation through intense performances before the record arrived to critical acclaim.
The group consists of vocalist Joe Talbot, bassist Adam Devonshire, guitarists Mark Bowen and Lee Kiernan, and drummer Jon Beavis. Their music draws on post-punk, punk, post-hardcore, art punk and indie rock, with a direct, forceful band sound shaped around Talbot's vocals, dual guitars, bass and drums.
IDLES expanded their audience with their second album, Joy as an Act of Resistance, released in 2018. Their third album, Ultra Mono, followed in 2020 and became the band's first UK number one album. They released Crawler, their fourth album, in 2021.
Their fifth studio album, Tangk, arrived in 2024 and became IDLES' second UK number one. In 2025, the band moved into film work, providing the score for Darren Aronofsky's feature film Caught Stealing.
