Anne-Marie
Anne-Marie Nicholson (born April 7, 1991), professionally known as Anne-Marie, is a British pop singer. She began her music career in 2013 by producing a demo titled "Summer Girl" for Rocket Records. Her solo pursuits were paused to allow artistic development.
Nicholson drew the attention of Rudimental when one of their vocalists departed; they invited Anne-Marie to fill the spot. She contributed to four tracks on their album We the Generation and toured with them for two years. Her debut EP, Karate, was released in late 2015 through Atlantic and Major Tom’s. In early 2016, she came out with "Do It Right," followed by her breakthrough hit "Alarm." Her collaboration with Clean Bandit and Sean Paul on "Rockabye" became an even bigger hit, reaching UK Christmas #1 in 2016.
In 2017, three singles from her debut album were released: "Ciao Adios," "Heavy," and "Then." The successful collaboration with Marshmello, "FRIENDS," came before her much-anticipated debut album, Speak Your Mind, which was released in April 2018.
In 2020, in preparation for her upcoming album, Anne-Marie released "Birthday," "Don't Play" with KSI, "Kiss My (Uh Oh)" with Little Mix, "Our Song" with Niall Horan, and "To Be Young" featuring Doja Cat. These songs were later included in her 2021 album Therapy.
