Dusky

Dusky is an English electronic music duo from London, made up of Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman. Working across deep house, house, and future garage, the pair began releasing music under the name Dusky after forming in 2011, following earlier work associated with the alias Solarity. They have also been referred to in Chinese as 幽暗雙人組.

After forming, Dusky issued records through a range of established electronic labels, building a catalogue that moved between club-focused house and more atmospheric, bass-led material associated with future garage. Their releases appeared on imprints including Anjunadeep, Running Back, Fabric Records, and FABRICLIVE., reflecting a presence in both label-curated album series and traditional single and EP formats.

In July 2014, Granger-Howell and Harriman launched their own label, 17 Steps. The imprint was introduced with the release of the Love Taking Over EP, marking a shift toward self-directed output alongside their work with other labels. Since then, 17 Steps has served as a home for Dusky’s releases while they have continued to be associated with the broader London electronic music ecosystem.
