Mau5trap is the Canadian independent label founded in 2007 by electronic producer Deadmau5, pronounced “mousetrap.” It is closely associated with techno and progressive house, while serving as a home for Deadmau5’s own work and a wider circle of electronic artists.
Before operating independently, Mau5trap functioned as a vanity label, with releases issued through Ultra Music, Virgin Records and Astralwerks.
