Machinedrum

Travis Stewart, known professionally as Machinedrum, is an American electronic record producer and performer from North Carolina. Working across styles that include footwork, IDM, glitch, and drumstep, he has released music under several names and in a range of collaborative projects that sit alongside his solo work.

In addition to recording as Machinedrum, Stewart has used the aliases Syndrone and Tstewart, and he has also been credited as Machine Drum and Neon Black. His catalogue includes prominent partnerships: he forms the duo Sepalcure with Praveen Sharma, and he is one half of JETS with Jimmy Edgar. Stewart also collaborates with Jim Coles, known as Om Unit, as Dream Continuum. These projects reflect a practice that moves between individual releases and shared studio identities, with each name tied to a specific context or set of collaborators.
