
Lucky Daye
David Brown, better known as Lucky Daye, is a singer affiliated with RCA Records and Keep Cool Records and is registered with BMI as a songwriter. He first gained attention when he auditioned for American Idol season 4 in 2005 and advanced through multiple rounds.
He has written songs for various artists, including Mary J. Blige, Ella Mai, Trey Songz, August Alsina, and Keke Palmer.
Lucky Daye released his debut single, “Roll Some Mo,” on October 26, 2018, which later appeared on his debut EP, I. Following a second EP titled II, he launched his debut album, Painted, on May 24, 2019. At the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2019, he received four Grammy nominations. His album Painted was nominated for Best R&B Album, “Real Games” was nominated for Best Traditional R&B Performance, and “Roll Some Mo” was nominated for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance.
