Teddy Killerz

Teddy Killerz are a Russian-Ukrainian electronic music trio whose path to wider recognition began with a remix contest. Their entry for Skrillex’s “Make It Bun Dem” caught the attention of Owsla’s owner, leading to a deal with the label and the 2013 Toys Riot EP, which contained three original tracks. The group consists of Grigory Cherekaev, Anton Mashevsky and Oleg Cholovskyi, who also work under the individual names Garud, Place 2b and Paimon, respectively.

Working across drum and bass, dubstep, EDM trap and breakbeat, Teddy Killerz built a catalogue that has moved between hard-edged bass music and club-focused electronic production. After an initial release on Program, RAM Records’ sister label, they signed to RAM in November 2014. That year, RAM selected them for its “60 Minutes of RAM” mix for MistaJam on BBC 1Xtra.

Remixes have been an important part of the trio’s output. Their version of Skrillex and the Ragga Twins’ “Ragga Bomb” was released through Owsla in 2014. They also remixed I Am Legion’s “Make Those Move,” a release issued through Owsla, Par Excellence and Division Recordings that held the number one spot on Beatport for six weeks. Beyond their own records, Teddy Killerz have produced for and alongside the dance-rock act Modestep, including the track “Make You Mine” from Modestep’s album London Road.

In 2015, Teddy Killerz released “Teddynator” on RAM Records, followed by the Hyperspeed EP later that year. Their first album, Nightmare Street, arrived on 5 June 2017. They opened the following decade with the Nerd Starter Pack EP for Insomniac’s Bassrush label. In 2025, the trio released the album COOKED, featuring collaborations with artists including P Money and Serum from the United Kingdom, along with Billur Battal and Valfi from Turkey.
