Sébastien Akchoté-Božović, known mononymously as SebastiAn, is a French electronic musician whose work spans solo releases, high-profile remixes, and production for other artists. Affiliated with Ed Banger Records, he has built a career that moves between club-oriented electronic music and studio craft, taking on roles as a composer, producer, mixer, engineer, vocalist, and DJ.

Born in 1981 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Akchoté-Božović has been associated with styles including French house, electroclash, and new rave. Alongside his own material, he has worked extensively as a remixer for a wide range of acts. His remix credits include bands and singers such as Charlotte Gainsbourg, Daft Punk, Beastie Boys, Bloc Party, and Nero, reflecting a practice of reworking both electronic and rock-adjacent sources through a distinctly electronic production approach.

As a producer and composer for other performers, SebastiAn has contributed songs for artists including Charlotte Gainsbourg, Katerine, Juliette Armanet, Kavinsky, Frank Ocean, Uffie, and Woodkid. These collaborations place him in settings beyond the DJ booth, where arrangement, songwriting, and detailed studio production are central. His credits also extend into screen work: he has composed soundtracks for the films Our Day Will Come, The World Is Yours, and Steak.

His music has also circulated widely through media placement. Many of SebastiAn’s tracks have been used on television and in video games, adding another outlet for his catalog alongside releases and remixes. He is the brother of guitarist Noël Akchoté.
