Sébastien Tellier
Sébastien Tellier represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 with “Divine,” bringing his idiosyncratic pop sensibility to one of Europe’s largest music broadcasts. Born on 22 February 1975 in Le Plessis-Bouchard, France, Tellier is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose work moves between electronic pop, French house, downtempo and singer-songwriter music.
Tellier writes, composes and produces his own material, and sings in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. Alongside his recording career, he has composed music for French films including Narco and Steak. His work has also extended to production for other performers, including Dita Von Teese.
Signed to the French independent label Record Makers, Tellier has built a catalogue that joins synthesizer-led electronic production with pop songwriting and a distinctly French sensibility. His roles as composer, lyricist, producer and vocalist reflect the breadth of his involvement in his recordings.
