Benjamin Joseph Levin, known professionally as benny blanco, is an American record producer, songwriter and recording artist whose work has helped supply pop, hip-hop and electronic radio with a long run of major singles. Born on March 8, 1988, in Reston, Virginia, he was mentored by Dr. Luke and signed to Luke’s Kasz Money Productions. From 2008 through the mid-2010s, Blanco received production credits alongside Dr. Luke while building a catalogue as a writer and producer.

His credits span work with Ed Sheeran, BTS, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Halsey, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, Kesha, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Sia, the Weeknd, Kanye West, Avicii, Ariana Grande, J Balvin, Juice Wrld and SZA, among others. Albums and singles to which he has contributed have sold a cumulative 500 million album-equivalent units. By the time he issued music under his own name, he had amassed 27 top-ten songs on the US Billboard Hot 100 as a writer, including seven number-one singles.

Blanco made his lead-artist debut in July 2018 with “Eastside,” a collaboration with Halsey and Khalid. The track reached number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and led his debut studio album, Friends Keep Secrets, released later that year. A deluxe edition, Friends Keep Secrets 2, followed in 2021 and included the top-40 single “Lonely,” featuring Justin Bieber. In 2025, Blanco and his wife Selena Gomez released the collaborative album I Said I Love You First.

Outside his own recordings, Blanco founded the Interscope imprints Mad Love Records and Friends Keep Secrets in 2014. The labels signed artists including Tory Lanez, Jessie Ware and Cashmere Cat. His industry recognition includes the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s 2013 Hal David Starlight Award, five BMI Songwriter of the Year Awards, the 2017 iHeartRadio Producer of the Year Award, and eleven Grammy Award nominations.
