Jessie Ware

Jessie Ware shifted into disco-inflected pop with her fourth album, What's Your Pleasure? (2020), a release that reached number three on the UK Albums Chart and drew critical acclaim. Its singles included “Spotlight”, “Save a Kiss” and “Remember Where You Are”. She followed it with That! Feels Good! in 2023, which also reached number three in the UK, peaked at number sixteen on the US Top Album Sales chart, and included the single “Free Yourself”.

Born Jessica Lois Ware on 15 October 1984, Ware is a British singer and songwriter from Hammersmith, United Kingdom. Her debut album, Devotion, arrived in 2012 and brought her to wider prominence. The album peaked at number five on the UK Albums Chart and produced “Wildest Moments”, pairing Ware’s vocal work with soul, R&B, pop and electronic elements.

Her second album, Tough Love (2014), reached number nine in the UK and yielded the singles “Tough Love” and “Say You Love Me”. Ware’s third album, Glasshouse, followed in 2017 and reached number seven on the UK Albums Chart. Across these records, she has worked as a vocalist and songwriter, as well as taking executive-producer and backing-vocal roles.

Ware has received seven Brit Awards nominations, including one for Best New Artist and four for British Female Solo Artist, along with two Mercury Prize nominations. Beyond music, she began co-hosting the podcast Table Manners with her mother, Lennie, in 2018. The show, available through online streaming platforms, is centred on family, food and conversation.
