OneRepublic
OneRepublic is an American pop rock band formed in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 2002. The group plays a pop-leaning style that has been associated with piano rock, and it has been led by singer and songwriter Ryan Tedder. The band is also known under several alternate names and spellings, including One Republic and “Timbaland Presents OneRepublic,” as well as localized names such as ワン・リパブリック and 一体共和.
The band’s lineup has included Tedder alongside guitarist Zachary Filkins, guitarist Drew Brown, bassist Brent Kutzle, drummer Eddie Fisher, and keyboardist Brian Willett. Other members listed in the group’s history include Tim Myers, Andrew Brown, and Jerrod Bettis. OneRepublic’s recordings have been released through major-label channels, including Mosley Music and Interscope Records, with additional releases associated with Parlophone in the UK, Polydor in France, and BMG Rights Management in the United States.
OneRepublic’s catalogue includes studio albums titled Dreaming Out Loud (2007), Waking Up (2009), Native (2013), Oh My My (2016), Human (2021), and Artificial Paradise (2024). Among the band’s best-known songs are “Apologize” and “Counting Stars.” “Apologize” was released in an original version by the band and also circulated widely in a remix associated with Timbaland, a connection reflected in the “Timbaland Presents OneRepublic” billing that appears in some contexts.
