Robin Schulz

Robin Alexander Schulz, born 28 April 1987 in Osnabrück, Germany, broke internationally in 2014 with a remix of Dutch hip-hop artist Mr. Probz's “Waves.” Released on 4 February as the first single from his debut album, the track reached number one on ten singles charts and peaked at number 14 in the United States. It later earned a nomination for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Schulz followed “Waves” on 6 June 2014 with a remix of “Prayer in C,” originally recorded by Lilly Wood and the Prick for the 2010 album Invincible Friends. The remix reached number one in 20 countries. Together, the two records charted across Europe and the United States, bringing Schulz international recognition through melodic electronic and house-oriented production.

Later 2014 singles included “Willst Du” and “Sun Goes Down,” the latter reaching number two in Germany and the top ten in six other countries. His debut album, Prayer, was released on 19 September 2014 and reached the top ten in three countries. Alongside his work as a DJ, musician and record producer, Schulz has received credits as a composer, lyricist, keyboard player and programmer. He also co-founded Lausbuben Records with Daniel Bruns and Christopher Noble.
