Kylie Minogue is an Australian singer, songwriter, and actress known as the Goddess of Pop, with a career spanning over 30 years. She evolved from a soap opera actress to a '90s pop star, short-lived indie darling, and ultimately a global superstar.

Kylie's breakthrough came with the Australian soap opera Neighbours, playing Charlene Mitchell. Her on-screen romance with Jason Donovan turned real, and their soap wedding attracted millions of viewers. However, her focus was on music, and by 1988 her debut album, Kylie, hit #1 in the UK and Australia. With 10 UK Top 3 singles by 1993, she was a prominent '90s popstar. Her subsequent albums – Enjoy Yourself, Rhythm of Love, and Let’s Get To It – all reached the UK Top 15.

In a relationship with INXS frontman Michael Hutchence, Kylie aimed higher with her image and sound. She left her label PWL and released “Confide In Me” in 1994, earning critical praise. Impossible Princess was critically successful but less so commercially, leading some media outlets to question her lasting fame.

By 2000, Kylie signed with Parlophone and returned to pop with “Spinning Around.” The success of this track and the album Light Years paved the way for her hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” one of the 2000s' best-selling singles, reaching #7 in the US. Fever produced more hits and won her a GRAMMY for “Come Into My World.” In 2003, she released Body Language with the hit single “Slow.”

In 2004, Kylie released a greatest hits compilation, Ultimate Kylie, then embarked on a tour in 2005, only to be diagnosed with breast cancer. She paused her career, resuming in 2006 with X and the lead single “2 Hearts.” 2010's Aphrodite moved towards dance-pop and electro, featuring the single “All the Lovers.” 2012 marked her 25th career anniversary with The Abbey Road Sessions. Her 12th album, Kiss Me Once, came out in 2014, followed by her first holiday album, Kylie Christmas, in 2015.

In 2017, Kylie signed with BMG Rights Management for her 14th album. Released on April 6, 2018, Golden featured the country-pop single “Dancing,” inspired by a Nashville writing trip. It was her sixth UK Number One album, also reaching the top in Australia for the first time since 2001’s Fever. Due to its success, she played the Glastonbury Legends slot in June 2019, released a new greatest hits album, and achieved another chart-topping album in the UK and Australia. Breaking from the norm of long hiatuses, Kylie released her fifteenth album DISCO on November 6, 2020. Its lead single, “Say Something,” was released on July 23 alongside the album's announcement. By topping the UK albums chart, Kylie became the only female artist with album chart-toppers in five different decades.
