ARTIST PROFILE

Jim-E Stack
James Horton Stack, widely recognized by his stage name Jim-E Stack, is an American music producer celebrated for his melancholic and experimental club music. His bass-centric dance tracks frequently incorporate fragmented R&B vocal samples and poignant melodies set against forceful beats and drum patterns.
Having been a drummer from a young age, he began crafting hip-hop beats in 2008; over time, influences from U.K. grime and Baltimore club music emerged in his creations. He is well-known for his collaborations with artists such as Caroline Polachek, HAIM, Charli XCX, Kacy Hill, and Diplo.
