Olivia Isabel Rodrigo (born February 20, 2003, in Temecula, California) is an American actress and singer, renowned for her roles in Disney's series Bizaardvark as Paige Olvera and High School Musical: The Musical – The Series as Nina “Nini” Salazar-Roberts. She also starred as Grace Thomas in An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success.
Olivia launched her singing career with the song “All I Want” from the High School Musical: The Musical – The Series soundtrack, which she wrote by herself. She also co-wrote “Just For A Moment” with co-star Joshua Bassett and participated in “Wondering” with co-star Julia Lester.
In 2020, Olivia signed with Geffen Records, and on January 8, 2021, released her debut single “drivers license,” the lead single from her debut album.
Thanks to its unexpected massive popularity on TikTok and endorsements from major artists like Taylor Swift, “drivers license” became a record-breaking hit on Spotify and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking an exceptional start to Olivia's career.
Following singles “deja vu” and “good 4 u” hinted at Rodrigo’s debut album SOUR, announced in April 2021 and released on May 21, 2021.
On June 13, 2023, Olivia announced the lead single “vampire” from her sophomore album, GUTS, after weeks of teasers. On June 26, she revealed the album's release date as September 8, 2023, along with the cover art.
