Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, born December 18, 1975, is widely recognized as Sia, an Australian pop singer and songwriter. She is a member of the supergroup LSD with British singer Labrinth and American DJ Diplo. Before her solo career launch, Sia provided vocals for the British acid-jazz duo Zero 7.

Her album 1000 Forms of Fear, released in 2014, is her most successful work so far, featuring the top 10 single "Chandelier."

After nearly 15 years of performing at nightclubs and releasing five studio albums, Sia took a break from performing in 2010 to focus on writing for other artists. Some of her most renowned collaborations include "Titanium" with David Guetta, "Diamonds" with Rihanna, and "Wild Ones" with Flo Rida.

Sia is known for concealing her face during recent promotional cycles and public appearances. She has explained that gaining some fame was unsettling to her, and to preserve her privacy, she concentrated on songwriting for others while covering her face with her signature wig.

Sia holds the record for having the most music videos with over a billion views on YouTube among female artists, with 5 videos reaching at least one billion views.

She has received numerous awards, including 8 Grammy nominations, and has seen 8 of her songs achieve double platinum status in sales.

However, her venture into filmmaking did not enjoy the same success as her music career. In 2021, Sia released a film titled Music, with Maddie Ziegler starring as an autistic teen. The film was criticized by both critics and Sia's fans for its poor representation of autism and perceived ableist undertones. In response to criticism, Sia's Twitter account was deleted after some controversial tweets. The film holds an 8% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
