Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter is an American singer, songwriter, and actress whose 2024 album Short n' Sweet topped the US Billboard 200, won two Grammy Awards, and produced the global number-one singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.” The latter became her first single to top the US Billboard Hot 100. Her follow-up, Man's Best Friend (2025), also reached number one on the Billboard 200 and included the US chart-topper “Manchild.”

Born May 11, 1999, Carpenter first became widely known as Maya Hart on the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World, which ran from 2014 to 2017. Signed to Disney-owned Hollywood Records, she began her recording career with the albums Eyes Wide Open (2015), Evolution (2016), Singular: Act I (2018), and Singular: Act II (2019). She joined Island Records in 2021, and her fifth album, Emails I Can't Send (2022), yielded the multi-platinum singles “Nonsense” and “Feather.”

Alongside music, Carpenter has maintained an active screen career. Her film credits include Adventures in Babysitting (2016), The Hate U Give (2018), The Short History of the Long Road (2019), Clouds (2020), and Emergency (2022). She also appeared in Netflix’s Tall Girl (2019), Tall Girl 2 (2022), and Work It (2020), serving as an executive producer on Work It.

Carpenter played Cady Heron in Broadway’s Mean Girls in 2020. She has served as both host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live, hosted the Netflix special A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter in 2024, and guest-starred in Disney+’s The Muppet Show variety sketch special in 2026. Her work on the latter earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination as a producer.
