RÜFÜS DU SOL

RÜFÜS DU SOL are an Australian alternative dance group from Sydney, made up of Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt. Their 2013 debut album, Atlas, reached number one in Australia, beginning a run in which each of their next three albums also placed in the country's top two. The group's second album, Bloom, debuted at number one on the Australian albums chart in early 2016.

The trio originally performed as RÜFÜS. In January 2014, they began using RÜFÜS DU SOL exclusively in the United States to avoid confusion with the existing funk band Rufus. They adopted RÜFÜS DU SOL as their name worldwide in May 2018 for consistency. Their 2015 single “You Were Right” won the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release, while “Alive” received the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording in 2022. During the 2021 to 2023 Surrender world tour, the group played three sold-out stadium shows at Los Angeles' Banc of California Stadium.
