Loe Shimmy

Sexy DrillRapFlorida

Loe Shimmy, born Shamar Williams Cox on March 24, 1999, is an American rapper from Pompano Beach, Florida. His songs are melodic but coarse, mixing old-school and current Southern rap, and they ride on a laid-back flow and a wobbly, nasal croak. He’s named Future and the Weeknd as inspirations.

He started out on SoundCloud in 2020. The breakthrough was “For Me”, from his March 2024 album Zombieland 2: a remix with Brent Faiyaz that November helped take it to No. 78 on the Billboard Hot 100, his first entry on the chart. Nardy World, which carried the remix, was dedicated to his late brother. In 2025 he opened for Lil Baby on the WHAM tour, played Rolling Loud California and was named an XXL Freshman, and “3am” with Don Toliver, from that July’s Rockstar Junkie, reached No. 71 on the Hot 100.

“I’m Spent”, his feature on Drake’s May 2026 album HABIBTI, is the biggest song of his career so far, peaking at No. 34 on the Hot 100. Pretty Girlz Run The World followed on July 24, with guest spots from Brent Faiyaz, Summer Walker and Sexyy Red, and he’s since finished a sold-out tour. “Shorty Pain” came out in October.
