Henrik Schwarz

Henrik Schwarz is a German deep house and classical crossover producer and DJ from the Bodensee region whose career began in the early 1990s. He is also associated with Bergatreute, Germany, and has released and performed under several name variations, including H Schwarz, H-Schwarz, H. Schwarz, and Schwarz.

Schwarz’s work sits at the intersection of club-oriented electronic music and classical crossover, a combination that has informed both his productions and his approach as a remixer. Over the course of his career he has been commissioned to remix music for a wide range of artists outside the usual boundaries of house and techno, including Coldplay, Mary J. Blige, and Foals. These remix projects have placed his sound in dialogue with pop, R&B, and indie rock material while retaining a foundation in deep house and related minimal styles.

In addition to his solo output, Schwarz has taken part in collaborative work. In 2017, he worked with songwriter and producer Jarrah McCleary, also known as Panama. His discography includes releases connected with labels such as Between Buttons, Armada Electronic Elements, Madorasindahouse Records, Just This, and Permanent Vacation, reflecting activity across both specialist electronic imprints and broader dance-music platforms.
