Artem Stolyarov, known professionally as Arty and Alpha 9, is a Russian DJ and music producer from Engels, Russia. Working across progressive house, electro house, and related EDM styles, he has released music under both names, with “Alpha 9” often used as an alternate artist identity alongside his Arty releases.
Stolyarov’s profile has been shaped in part by a long list of collaborations with prominent figures in electronic music and pop. He has worked with Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, BT, Paul van Dyk, Mat Zo, OneRepublic, and Matisse & Sadko, connecting his productions to both trance and progressive-oriented scenes as well as crossover vocal projects.
In 2015, he released his debut album, Glorious. The album reached number 14 on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart, marking a significant early benchmark in his recorded output. Alongside album work, his releases have appeared through electronic-focused imprints including Armada and Anjunabeats, labels closely associated with the artists he has collaborated with and with the broader progressive and trance-adjacent EDM circuit.
