Black Hole Recordings
Black Hole Recordings emerged in 1997 as the label behind DJ Tiësto’s Magik and Space Age compilation series, initially bringing its own “magikal stories” to vinyl. Based around the Dutch trance world, it became closely associated with Tiësto until 2009, when he sold his share of the company to Arny Bink, its owner.
The label’s catalogue has long centred on trance in its many forms, from Solarstone’s progressive sound and Johan Gielen’s melodic productions to artists including Ciaran McAuley, Driftmoon, Airscape, Rinaly, Christian Burns and BT. Black Hole also operated Magik: The Record Store in Breda until the shop closed in 2006.
