Beatrice Ilejay Laus (born June 3, 2000 in Iloilo City, Philippines), previously known as Bea and widely recognized as beabadoobee, is a British-Filipino singer-songwriter residing in London, England.

Bea’s music takes inspiration from artists such as Alex G, Karen O, and Florist.

Her debut EP, Lice, was launched on March 1, 2018. In July of that year, Bea signed with Dirty Hit, an independent record label located in London, England. Her second EP, Patched Up, was released on December 7, 2018, and her third, Loveworm, came out on April 25, 2019. On October 14, 2019, she dropped her fourth EP, titled Space Cadet.

In 2020, Bea’s 2017 track “Coffee” was sampled in rapper Powfu’s song "death bed (coffee for your head)," which achieved global popularity due to its presence on TikTok.

With this new level of attention, Bea’s debut studio album, Fake It Flowers, was released shortly after, featuring singles such as “Care,” “Sorry,” “Worth It,” and “How Was Your Day?”

In 2021, Bea unveiled her fifth EP, Our Extended Play, co-produced with Matty Healy, the frontman of The 1975.

Her second album, Beatopia, was released in 2022. Post-release, the track “the perfect pair” gained momentum on TikTok and other short-form video platforms, continuing to be frequently used into 2023.

On August 12, 2024, Bea released her third studio album, titled [This Is How Tomorrow Moves] (https://genius.com/albums/Beabadoobee/This-is-how-tomorrow-moves), which was produced with assistance from Rick Rubin.
