DGTL
The festival came first. DGTL had been running in Amsterdam for five years before it started a label in April 2017, and the opening record made the link explicit: KiNK built "Neutrino" while taking part in Transmission Tower, an audiovisual installation at the festival, then reworked it into "Dynamo" for the other side.
The remit wasn't one thing but two, international producers and Amsterdam's own, with designers from the festival's art programme handling the sleeves. Early releases went out on vinyl cut with locked grooves.
