Has remixed artists like Radiohead, M.I.A., Basement Jaxx, Underworld, among others. Has collaborated extensively with Sampha, using electronic and acoustic drums, synthesizers, and effects, while Sampha handles keyboards and vocals during live performances. The name SBTRKT is intended to support his anonymity, as he emphasizes:
“I’d rather not talk about myself as a person, and let the music speak for itself. The name SBTRKT is me taking myself away from that whole process.”
He wears masks that are modern interpretations of native society ceremonials, designed by Hidden Place.
