Nao

Nao, born Neo Jessica Joshua, is an English singer-songwriter and record producer whose self-described “wonky funk” blends soul with electronic music, funk, and R&B. She is from East London, and her work is often discussed within alternative and contemporary strands of UK R&B.

Nao released her debut album, For All We Know, in 2016. It was followed by Saturn in 2018, a second full-length that continued to develop her mix of soulful vocals and electronically informed production. In 2021, she issued her third album, And Then Life Was Beautiful, extending a discography that places equal emphasis on songwriting and studio craft.
