Nao, the stage name of Neo Jessica Joshua, describes her music as “wonky funk,” a blend of soul, electronic music, funk and R&B. An English singer-songwriter and record producer from East London, she has built her recorded work around that mix of electronic production and soulful vocals.

She released her debut album, For All We Know, in 2016, followed by Saturn in 2018. Her third album, And Then Life Was Beautiful, arrived in 2021. In 2025, she released Jupiter, her most recent album.
