BLOND:ISH

BLOND:ISH is the professional name of Vivie-ann Bakos, a Canadian DJ, producer and environmental activist born October 16, 1988. Her work combines club-focused electronic music with environmental advocacy, and she has stated a mission to help one billion people live their best lives.

Bakos founded Abracadabra, an event series and record label, and has held a headline residency at Pacha Ibiza. Her releases and DJ sets move through house and electronic styles, including deep house, tech house, minimal, disco house, melodic house, Afro house and Latin-influenced sounds. She has released music through labels including Insomniac Records, Maison Arts and Defected.

Alongside her music career, BLOND:ISH founded Bye Bye Plastic, a nonprofit initiative created to eliminate single-use plastics from music venues and events. She is also a co-founder of the Bye Bye Plastic Foundation, extending that work through the electronic-music community.
