Zara Larsson

Zara Larsson broke through in Sweden at age 10, winning the second season of Talang in 2008. Born Zara Maria Larsson on 16 December 1997 in Solna Municipality, she signed with Ten Music Group in 2012 and released her first EP, Introducing, the following year. Its single “Uncover” reached number one in Sweden and Norway, and was certified six-times platinum in Sweden. Her 2014 debut studio album, 1, produced the Swedish top-ten singles “Carry You Home” and “Rooftop.”

After signing a three-year US deal with Epic Records, Larsson expanded her reach with So Good in 2017, her first international album. It became her second Swedish number-one album and reached the top ten in seven other countries. “Lush Life,” its lead single, placed in the top five across 18 countries and became one of the United Kingdom’s best-selling songs of the 2010s. The album also included “Never Forget You,” with MNEK, and “Ain’t My Fault,” both Swedish number ones, plus “I Would Like,” which reached number two in the UK. That year, Larsson joined Clean Bandit for “Symphony,” a chart-topper in the UK, Sweden and Norway.

Her third album, Poster Girl, arrived in 2021, led by “Ruin My Life,” which reached the top ten in both the UK and Sweden and received platinum certification in the United States. In 2022, Larsson left Ten Music Group and acquired her music catalogue. She released the chart-topping EP Honor the Light in 2023, then issued her fourth album, Venus, in 2024 through Epic and her own label, Sommer House. “Can’t Tame Her” and “On My Love,” a collaboration with David Guetta, both found commercial success in Europe, reaching the Swedish top five and the UK top 30.

Larsson made her acting debut in the Swedish Netflix drama A Part of You in 2024. Her fifth studio album, Midnight Sun, followed in 2025 to widespread critical acclaim. Its title track became her highest-charting solo entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording. Also in 2025, she collaborated with PinkPantheress on “Stateside + Zara Larsson,” which reached number one on the Billboard Global 200 and entered the Hot 100 top ten.

In Sweden, Larsson has scored five number-one singles and three number-one albums on Sverigetopplistan. Her awards include two American Music Awards, a Bambi Award, four Grammis awards and four MTV Europe Music Awards; she has also received four Brit Award nominations and a Grammy nomination.
