Wuki
Kris Barman, known professionally as Wuki, is an American musician, DJ, and record producer whose work has moved from electronic rock into house and electronic music. Before launching his solo career, he was a member of Innerpartysystem from 2007 to 2011, contributing backing vocals, guitar, synthesizer, and programming.
After Innerpartysystem ended, Barman relocated to Denver and began producing and performing as Wuki. Early in the project, he hosted E-Lven, a late-night radio show on Denver station 93.3 FM. His remix work has included official versions of The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” and Galantis’ “No Money,” both released in 2016.
Wuki received a 2020 Grammy Award nomination for Best Remixed Recording for his remix of Miley Cyrus’ “Mother’s Daughter.” His debut album, WukiWorld, followed in 2021. Alongside his Wuki releases, Barman has also used the name MoxJet.
