The Reflex is the moniker of Nicolas Laugier, a French producer and remixer from Avignon who has been based in London since 1998. His work draws on disco, funk, nu-disco and disco house, with remixing central to the project.
The name The Reflex references Nile Rodgers’ remix of Duran Duran’s 1984 song “The Reflex,” as well as Logic Pro’s Flextime tool, used to alter and synchronise audio files. Laugier also runs the labels Revision Records and Discolidays.
