The Reflex is the stage name of Nicolas Laugier, a French producer and remixer associated with disco and dance-oriented edits and reworks. He is originally from Avignon, France, and has been based in London since 1998.
The name “The Reflex” has been described as a double reference: a tribute to Nile Rodgers’ remix of Duran Duran’s 1984 song “The Reflex,” and a nod to Logic Pro’s Flextime tool, used to alter and synchronize audio.
Alongside his production and remix work, Laugier runs the labels Revision Records and Discolidays.
