The Killers
The Killers were established in Las Vegas in 2001 by Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning and have arguably become the most successful rock band from Nevada. Their 2004 debut album, Hot Fuss, featuring singles like “Somebody Told Me” and “Mr. Brightside,” secured their status as leading figures in the post-punk revival, blending 2000s indie rock with 1980s New Wave elements. Hits like “When You Were Young” and “Human,” along with several Christmas singles, maintained their fame into the late 2000s.
Following Hot Fuss, the band released three additional studio albums and a Greatest Hits collection before taking an extended hiatus, returning in 2017 with Wonderful Wonderful. Although postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their sixth album, Imploding The Mirage, was released on August 21, 2020, and was quickly followed by Pressure Machine in 2021.
