Reuben James

Rapidly emerging singer, songwriter, and pianist Reuben James has already sold out two shows at Ronnie Scott’s and headlined the Hastings Piano Festival. His debut EP, "Adore," received critical acclaim and was playlisted on BBC Radio and Jazzfm. Reuben James was recognized as a rising star at the 2014 British Jazz Awards.

Renowned for his virtuoso jazz techniques and soulful, evocative voice, British singer, songwriter, and pianist Reuben James is considered one of the most exciting and creatively assured artists to have emerged recently.

Best known for his ongoing collaborations with Sam Smith, including co-writing songs for Smith’s four-million-selling album "The Thrill of It All," James has contributed his writing and performances to a multitude of international star acts like Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Herbie Hancock, John Legend, Tori Kelly, Little Mix, Disclosure, and Liam Payne, among many others.

Reuben's sophomore EP "Slow Down" received critical acclaim in 2020, with lead singles "My Line" and "So Cool" getting airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing, and Jazz FM. Reuben released his single "BBQ Energy" in late 2020, followed by the star-studded "Tunnel Vision" featuring Frida Touray, Daley, and Tom Misch in early 2021.
