Don Diablo
Don Diablo, born Don Pepijn Schipper on 27 February 1980 in Coevorden, Netherlands, is a Dutch DJ, digital artist, record producer, musician and songwriter whose work sits within electronic dance music. He is associated with the development of future house, alongside work spanning house, electro house, progressive house and pop-oriented dance music.
Using the Don Diablo name as his principal project, Schipper has also released or worked under a wide range of aliases, including 2 Faced, Big Pineapple, Origin Unknown, Tula, D Diablo, The Raven, Orpheus and Control Alt Delete. His productions have included vocal performances as well as electronic studio work, and his credits also include remix edits.
In 2015, he founded the label HEXAGON, creating an outlet for his releases and broader future-house work. His HEXAGON Radio show has been broadcast internationally, with podcast editions updated weekly.
Don Diablo was named Beatport’s Future House Artist of the Year in 2016. In 2018, 1001Tracklists ranked him Producer of the Year, and DJ Mag placed him sixth in its Top 100 DJs list for 2020. Alongside HEXAGON, his releases have appeared through labels including Spinnin’ Records and TH3RD BRAIN.
