Demuja

Demuja is the stage name of Austrian electronic music producer Bernhard Weiss. Working across lo-fi house, jazz house, and disco house, he has built a catalog that draws on the rhythmic vocabulary of club music while leaving room for jazz-inflected harmony and warm, sample-led textures.

Weiss is based in Salzburg, Austria, and has also released music under his real name. Alongside his own productions, he runs the label MUJA, which serves as an outlet for his work and a focal point for the sound associated with his project.

His releases have appeared on a range of independent and larger imprints, including Aus Music, Future Classic, Permanent Vacation, and BMG Rights Management (UK), reflecting a career that has moved between boutique dance labels and broader distribution. Across these outlets, Demuja’s output is consistently situated within house music’s lo-fi and disco-leaning strands, with jazz elements frequently present in his melodic and chordal choices.
