Bou
Bou, born Mohamed Amine Bouguenna, is an Algerian-British musician from Manchester whose work spans drum and bass, jungle and bassline. He first reached the UK Singles Chart through a feature on Bru-C’s “Streetside”, which peaked at number 84.
He followed with “Closer”, a collaboration with Slay that reached number 24, and later joined Chase & Status on “Baddadan”. The latter became his highest-charting release to date, peaking at number 5 in the UK. Bou’s musical influence has also extended beyond his own records: he inspired the use of cowbell on Piri & Tommy’s “On & On”.
Alongside his work as a DJ and producer, Bou is a co-owner of Diamond Audio and owns the label Gossip.
