Jamie Roberts has spent the past decade honing his alias, Blawan, through extensive studio work and touring, crafting a unique techno universe. Growing up in Barnsley, UK, he began his musical journey as a drummer, an influence evident in his rhythmic productions. Blawan’s discography reveals a natural rhythm fluency, from steady beats to complex syncopations.

Under other monikers like Kilner and Bored Young Adults, and in collaborations such as Karenn with Pariah and Trade with Surgeon, Roberts has ventured into various experimental terrains. His diverse releases, from minimalist techno to vibrant two-step, have appeared on notable labels like Hessle Audio, R&S, Clone's Basement Series, Hinge Finger, and Black Sun for Blawan, with The Trilogy Tapes and Avian hosting his other solo projects.

Roberts launched his label, TERNESC, in 2015, which has been the platform for his latest Blawan releases. Moving to Berlin in 2015, he has explored new creative pathways through analogue-heavy studio work and impressive live performances, while still excelling in traditional dance floor settings. His latest album, "Wet Will Always Dry," released in June 2018, marks a breakthrough in his exploration of techno, offering a nuanced and ambitious sound for his dedicated followers.
