Ashe

Ashe is the stage name of Ashlyn Rae Willson, an American singer-songwriter whose 2019 single “Moral of the Story” became her signature release after appearing in Netflix’s 2020 film To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. Produced by Noah Conrad with additional production from Finneas O’Connell, the song brought her intimate pop songwriting to a wider audience.

Born in 1993 and raised in San Jose, California, Willson studied composition and production at Berklee College of Music. Early in her career, she worked as a songwriter and jazz vocalist, then moved into electronic-pop collaborations with artists including Louis the Child, Whethan, Shaun Frank and Ben Phipps. She co-wrote Demi Lovato’s 2017 single “You Don’t Do It for Me Anymore,” and her collaboration with Shaun Frank, “Let You Get Away,” earned a Juno Award nomination and gold certification. Ashe has also toured with Louis the Child, Lauv and Whethan.

Her solo catalog began with the 2018 EP The Rabbit Hole, followed by Moral of the Story: Chapter 1 and Moral of the Story: Chapter 2 in 2019. Her debut studio album, Ashlyn, arrived on May 7, 2021 and reached number 194 on the US Billboard 200. She followed it with Rae in 2022 and Willson in 2024, completing a three-album sequence titled after parts of her name.

In 2025, Ashe and Finneas O’Connell, a longtime collaborator, formed the band The Favors. The group released its debut album, The Dream, in September 2025; it peaked at number 174 on the US Billboard 200.
