The label was founded in 2007 by Antoine Rajon and Franck Descollonges. It is based in Villard-de-Lans, France, on Rue des Tamagnards. From its outset, Heavenly Sweetness positioned itself around jazz-oriented projects, using reissues to foreground the label’s spiritual-jazz focus while also supporting current artists working in related idioms.
